Legend:

1  cuticle
3  palisade parenchyma
2  epidermis

English name: Oleander
Scientific name: Nerium oleander
Familia: Apocynaceae
Classis: Dicotyledonas
Phylum: Angiospermae
Regnum: Plantae

The oleander leaf has a very thick cuticle and a multicellular epidermis (here three layers). The cells in the outer layer of the epidermis are relatively small, compared to those of the layers below, that have, however, thick walls. Also the palisade parenchyma is multilayered.
